  • ty What’s floating ball valve?
 
  • The floating ball valve means the ball is floating in valve chamber design,the seat is fixed in body, and the ball is supported by the stem. The stem connection with ball in quarter turn movement. The floating ball between the valve seats and use the line medium medium pressure push the ball downstream for a positive closure and valve sealed. The valve can be assembled in bidirectional way,but it is only downstream seal tight.

  • Floating ball is compact valve for small size and low torque valve.
  • The valve body material has the forged steel and cast steel material form, valve body will be usually two piece or three piece design ,and union body.
 
  • ● Reliable seat seal design
  • The general floating ball valve adopts soft seat sealing structure. When the medium pressure is lower, the contact area of seal ring and ball is smaller, but the seat and ball contact surface obtained high grade sealing ratio to ensure the sealing tight. When the medium pressure is higher, the contact area of seal and ball becomes more, and the seat sealing ring can endure higher medium thrust without being damaged.
 
  • Fireproof Structure design in seat,middle flange and stem
  • In case of fire , the seat ring made of PTFE or other non-metal materials will be decomposed or damaged under high temperature and cause higher leakage. The fireproof seal ring is inserted between ball and seat so that after the valve soft seat burn, the medium will push the ball rapidly towards the downstream metal seal ring to form the auxiliary metal to metal sealing structure, which can effectively control valve leakage. In addition, the middle flange sealing gasket is made of metal wound gasket, which can ensure sealing even under high temperature. The fireproof structure design of floating ball valve conforms to requirements in API 607,API 6FA,BS 6755 and JB/T6899 etc.

  • ● Reliable Valve Stem Seal
  • The stem is T shape anti-blow out design,even when the valve chamber under abnormal pressure increase and loose packing gland, the valve stem will anti-blow out.
  • In case of stem packing burnt, the thrust bearing is set at the place where the stem shoulder and body contact to form a reverse sealing seat. The sealing force of the reverse seal will increase according to the increase of medium pressure, so as to ensure reliable stem sealing under various pressure, prevent leakage and avoid accident spreading.
  • The stem adopts V type packing sealing structure,such packing can effectively change the pressure and medium force of the gland into the sealing force of the stem.
  • According to user requirements, the disc spring loaded packing pressing mechanism can be adopted to make the sealing of stem packing more reliable.

  • The ball valve is provided with anti-static structure. For size below DN25 and above DN25 use the different anti-static spring design between stem,body and ball release the static electricity preventing fire or explosion risk.

  • Valve lock device is needed for special crucial sites where to prevent the valve mistake operation for pipeline protecting.
